Park in the lighthouse carpark and take the sandy path to the left, over the small hill to be greeted by the picturesque beach, pier and rockpools. On colder days, rug up for a walk along the pier and in the warmer weather, grab a towel and drop down the few stairs to the beach. There are plenty of pools to explore at low tide and many are large enough to climb into to cool off, giving an almost tropical feel at times. Walk around the headland to the surf beach and catch some waves before heading up the stars to explore the surrounds of the lighthouse. There's plenty to do in this small area, make sure you allow enough time. With the Point Lonsdane shops just down the road, you could easily grab lunch and make a full day of it.
