About ten minutes from Bunbury, Dalyellup Beach is an amazing place to walk, swim and fish. You can walk there all year round, with amazing skies and, often, very few other people on the beach. It feels like you have your own piece of paradise.
People fish there most months of the year, catching whiting, herring, taylor, shark and salmon, in their seasons.
Swimming is great, with clear waters, and the swells are generally fine in summer. There is some surf club supervision at the southern end in summer on weekends.
There are two carparks. The Surfclub Carpark also has beach access for four wheel drives heading south, and involves a stroll down a pathway (slightly rocky, but not difficult) to the beach). There are basic toilet facilities here. The other carpark, off Norton Promenade, has grass, picnic tables and also toilets and outside showers. There are stairs (quite a few!) down to the beach, but well worth the trek.
Dolphins are regular visitors during summer, and whales are occasionally seen from the beach in winter.
