Take the kayak out for a day on the Guildford River! What's more - if your dog loves the water, feel free to take them along too! Take in the surroundings, it's nature at its finest. See the ducklings and their mothers on the river, kayak under the bridge that separates Guildford from Bassendean. Venture into Guildford whilst you're there if you wish - highlights include the Guildford Hotel for a good old fashioned pub feed, the Guildford Book Exchange for second hand books that you can't and won't find anywhere else, and the Guildford Bakery for coffee and pastries to die for. Guildford itself has a very old-fashioned nature about it, it's a great place to visit if you feel like getting away from the city (whilst still actually remaining in the city) for the day. Just don't forget to pack the kayak - and the dogs!
