Mother Goose is held on Tuesdays at Kennington Primary School for babies aged 3-4 months up to children of kinder age. Children and their parents/carers sit in a circle and sing popular nursery rhymes, with parents/carers encouraged to join in with finger and hand actions. It is then time to stand up and move around to songs such as the Hokey Pokey and the Dingle Dangle Scarecrow. The group then breaks for a fruit snack, with cut up fruit being provided. After a snack, everyone returns to the floor to listen to a story before singing the goodbye song. The sessions are held in the school library, open to anyone and free to attend. It is best to refer to the school newsletter to check current dates and session times.
