The Newport is newly renovated, and is a great place to go for drinks with friends. It has an amazing view of Pittwater from it's terrace, so I would suggest going at sunset (6-7:30 in the summer) and taking some magnificent shots of the sun on the water. Although it can be quite pricey, there is a wide range of food available from different restaurants within the complex and the beverages are delicious. When there is a sports match on this place comes alive, with locals everywhere coming to watch a game on the big screen. Parking can be very busy at these times and on weekends, so I'd recommend getting the L90 which has a stop directly outside.
