Grab a bottle of wine and some nibblies from Coles Mudjimba and head to Mudjimba beach. There's a park, benches, barbeques and playground. Also a caravan park one street down if you're travelling on wheels. Head to the beach from the carpark entrance. Head left for radio tower or right to the dog beach. Both ways have surf Life saving flags if you get there on time and want to head into the surf for a quick dip. Set up at the seats looking out to old woman island or even walk along the beach. It's a few kilometres to the inlet of the Maroochydore River but the view is worth it. There's a tiny little hill with rocks around it that make for some really nice photos. We're talking 270 degree views. Climb up it and set up your picnic or just admire the view. The breezes are nice at the right time. In summer don't come before 3pm or you'll be sweating. Winter is cool enough to be nice if you chuck on a coat. Sometimes there are kitesurfers/windsurfers or people with jetskis and dogs end up chasing them haha. Bring your dog along. The beach is dog friendly but bring a leash too because only parts are off leash. Follow the signs and you'll be a ok.
