Brisbane isn't known for it's beaches but on a clear day with the sun shining it's pretty hard to go past Sutton's Beach at Redcliffe. Unlike the Gold and Sunshine Coasts where you battle traffic and crowds every day of the week if you go mid week here you will have a gorgeous stretch of beach and calm ocean almost to yourself. The beach stretches for a couple of kilometres each way and at times there can be barely a soul there. Not only that but the parking is free, there are plenty of cafes to choose from and there is a great little playground for the kids if they’ve had enough of the beach and ocean. It's within easy reach of the city and is enjoyable and easy to get to and is a great way to while away a week day or a weekend.
