From time to time I like to have a cuppa in the Railway Cafe run by the Angels for the Forgotten. Across the road from Woolworths on Sloane St, the Angels have an impressive community facilitiy, with a food distribution network, offices, function rooms, a cafe and a meeting place for the Goulburn Arts Society.

The cafe has a standard barista menu with cakes, snacks and light meals, and serves as a training ground for Work for the Dole recipients and Work Placement trainees. So don't be surprised if you find someone learning the ropes at the cappucino machine or cash register when you order. The premises overlook the railway yard and has clean and cosy d├ęcor.

Next door to the cafe, the Angels run one of Goulburn's most affordable op shops, brimming with high quality children's toys, women's footwear, haberdashery, jewellery, baby clothing and homewares. You can always find a pair of affordable earings here, and this shop has some of the most beautiful and affordable jumpers in town.
