The Cape Schanck Lighthouse in Mornington Peninsula sits at the top of a cliff which overlooks the Bass Strait and provides a great opportunity of 360 degree photos and if lucky you mite grab a shot of whales known to the area. Built in 1859 Cape Shanck lighthouse is one of Melbournes first and remaining working lighthouses.

The lighthouse is also decked out into a few self contained cottages for a romantic over night stay. If you're after a cute weekend away with your partner the cottages are perfect when up and running, so must book in advance to avoid any disappointment.
