This magnificent spot remains to be a major piece of history in the Hervey Bay area. Once utilized as a train track to import logs from Fraser Island the pier remains to be busy place for locals in the area who use it for recreational activities such as fishing. You will often find people at this pier all hours of the day. This spot is just as breathtaking during those early morning sunrises and sunsets at the end of the day (So don't forget those cameras!. To walk the full length of the pier it usually takes about 20 minutes but is not necessarily needed in order to get the full experience. I would definitely recommend this to anybody in the area as cheap and fun alternative to keep you occupied for a few hours.
