There’s a great little market held in the City Botanical Gardens every Sunday from 7am just inside the main gates where Alice and Albert Streets meet.
Arts, crafts, clothing stalls and foodie trucks offer plenty of variety and some of Brisbane’s best talent add to the atmosphere with live music and family entertainment. There are a few tables and chairs set aside for comfort or you can pull up a good spot of lawn to enjoy an ad-lib picnic.
Don’t forget to go for a stroll through the lush gardens before heading home. The rose gardens are amazing when in bloom and there’s a wonderful Rainforest and Bamboo Grove to wander through, and plenty of wildlife to spot along the way.
The City Botanic Gardens are an easy 5 min walk from the city centre (Queen St Mall) or if driving into the city, there is an abundance of metered parking options.
