The best way to spend some time in Central Park is to head to the Loeb Boathouse and rent a boat at the Loeb Boathouse and row your way to the heart of the Central Park Lake, the second-largest body of water in Central Park that spans over 22-acres. Open daily from 10am - 6pm from April through to November (weather permitting).
Like most things in Central Park the boathouse is cash only.
The Loeb Boathouse has a fleet of 100 boats, each of which seats four people. A perfect place to take a date, your partner or the kids (they'll love helping to row the boat). Don't forget to look into the water, there are some turtles swimming around! Just be careful as the lake can be prone to Algae blooms.
Life jackets are provided by the Loeb Boathouse. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
