For a quick mountain climb, either walking or driving, the Three Poles Lookout is an easy drive and possible for high clearance 2WD vehicle. Starting off driving through a T.S.R (Travelling Stock Route) you will meander through prime agricultural land and home of the most amazing, juicy Oranges.
At the base of the drive, you can visit the The Baiame man, or ‘Father of All’. Baiame has historical and cultural significance to the Wonnorua people, traditional custodians of the Hunter Valley, and was considered an important ancestor and law maker. The site is one of the rare indigenous rock painting sites located in NSW. A Visitors Book is located underneath the information sign at the site, so be sure to write your name in.
Three Poles, looks over the Bulga/Milbrodale landscape, all the way to Singleton and you can also oversee the racing track for the Milbrodale Mountain Classic.
