Down the Southern part of the Gold Coast past Currumbin Valley hides a spot where the locals hang out with Rock Pools and small waterfalls (family and dog friendly).
Also about 10 mins down the road past the rock pools lays the Southern part of Springbrook National Park, (make sure you stop along the road for the fresh berries being sold as they are super tasty and its great to support local farmers). From the Car park, which can be overcrowded on a beautiful sunny day, there is a short easy walk to waterfalls and a historic 1940s Saw Mill, which is pretty unique.
Along the track, there are paths down the waterfalls and rock face, where there are plenty of rocks to sit on to soak up the afternoon rays or have a picnic lunch with the family.
Don’t forget to pack your swimmers and camera for this one!
