The gardens are just beautiful and full of little nooks and crannies - perfect for wandering, exploring and getting lost! Throughout the gardens are fountains, pavilions, a Tudor Mini-Village and plenty of flora and fauna to feast your eyes on. If you fancy something cultural you can check out Cooks' Cottage - brought all the way from Yorkshire, brick by brick, and rebuild in the gardens. You can take a tour and wear period costumes! Around the gardens are several feature trees - such as the Fairies Tree; this tree stump is from one of the original red gums of the gardens and is over 300 years old. The base of the stump has been carved and decorated with gnomes, trolls and other such mythical creatures - its really beautiful!
The gardens are a short walk from the city and and really accessible! Perfect for relaxing on a warm day or avoiding the heat on a hot one!
