For those of you wanting a romantic getaway, a family weekend or a camping spot to have some drinks and games with your mates the Cumberland River Holiday Park is your place.

Located approximately 7km past Lorne, the Cumberland River Holiday Park is a peaceful and beatiful spot to pitch up a tent or have that already done for you. With a double and 2 singles, at $95 for the night you can't go wrong.
With fire drums and wood for purchase, you can cook up yourself a camp style meal (in my case, using sticks as tongs).

But the best part is yet to come, the real reason you need to stay at this holiday park is the morning walk to either the beach that is 2 minutes away or Cumberland Falls, located in the Otway National Park.
With the initial part of the walk having a view relative to what you expect from Canada, this 2hr return walk is simply spectacular.

Passing through Jebb's falls (a beatiful watering hole that you can have a dip in), the walk precedes with amazing natural flora and fauna. The biodiversity of plants are continously changing.
When walking toward Cumberland Fall, you will be walking along a track as well as hopping over rocks on water, so this track is for those who are comfortable with this style of walk.
Don't give up when trying to find the waterfall as the track begins to become less obvious and you may think you are lost on finding it, however there is some red signage on trees along the way to help direct you.
