Located approximately an hour and half from Melbourne CBD, Aireys inlet is a small coastal town that is a must stop at if driving through the Great Ocean Road.
Whilst at Aireys Inlet it is hard to miss the Split Point Lighthouse from the corner of your eye. Only a couple of hundred meters off the Great Ocean Road and you have found yourself a tranquil space. A perfect spot to get a sea breeze to freshen you up, or have a picnic with the family and more importantly embrace an ocean view.
The lighthouse itself has guided or express tours that cost no more than $14 per person, or for those who are just out to take that perfect Instagram photo, the view from the lookout point is priceless.
There is plenty of parking at sea level (**Or you can adventure up the gravel hill for a lookout from your car, however it is a no standing zone at the top so don't park your car there)
**FYI, It is a bumpy gravel hill, so I would advise having a FWD if seeking to drive to the top unless you would like the underside of your car battered and bruised (like myself)
