The Royal Botanic Gardens is a wonderful collection of flora from all around the globe. The gardens provides one of the largest collections of plants within Australia and is home to some of the only varieties of international plants in Australia. It’s a great place for the family or by yourself. You can bring the kids down to explore the different sections of garden, enjoy the harbour side views, have a picnic and kick a ball around. Or you can bring some lunch and read a book on a rug by the lake. The gardens is a great place to escape from the busy city encircling it. The gardens is easy accessible from the surrounding streets and can be reach by walking from Circular Quay via the Opera House. Mrs Macquarie’s Chair is also a short walk away.
