Only a short drive from the centre of the Buderim township, and about 15 minutes from the coastline, is the Buderim Forest Park, and the beautiful Serenity Falls. Perfect for a short trip, or a full relaxing day trip, this is one walk to be enjoyed at your own pace.

The trail itself has two entry points. The lower entry is off Lindsay Road via Harry’s Lane, and has plenty of parking, along with a gorgeous rustic café/restaurant which makes excellent coffee. There are also barbecues and picnic tables available, which become very popular on the weekends. From the entry, the track begins with a wooden boardwalk, which eventually turns to a rugged dirt trail. The trail winds through the forest along the creek to the falls. This option is a slightly longer walk, although you do have the option of stopping for a coffee before/after your walk.

The second entry point is via Quorn Close, which runs off Lindsay Road at the top of Buderim township, also has picnic tables and barbeque facilities. Beyond the picnic area, there is a reasonably steep trail which leads down to the falls, and the bridge crossing the creek.

Allow for up to 1.5 hours for the walk, as you won’t want to rush. The creek and the falls are beautiful, however considering the creek passes through several storm water drains, it is advisable not to drink/swim in the water. But don’t forget a camera to capture a few selfies, and perhaps a few shots of the local wildlife!
