On the north side of Point Danger, or 'D-bah Hill' as it's commonly referred to by locals, is Rainbow Bay, a medium-sized open beach that is patrolled, featuring small to mid-sized waves, and points at either end which sometimes attract a long-sweeping wave when the swell is up.

There is street parking, and nearby BBQ areas with adjoining kid's playground areas. Not many local shops, however the Rainbow Bay Surf Club is a family-friendly spot that serves food & drinks throughout the day.
