A beautiful, little-known freshwater creek swimming hole in Redlynch, only a few hundred metres off the main road.
Nice and secluded, lots of private little beaches along the creek to relax and have a picnic.
Great for families, lots of shade and nice shallow water, really good for younger kids.
Not far from Cairns CBD, or the northern beaches, maybe 20 minutes drive from either. Surrounded by open parkland, would be a great place to spend a day with the family and a picnic lunch.
Hardly known place, even to the locals, you won't find it marked on any of the tourist maps in the region. Crystal Cascades is close by, which is more popular with tourists, and signposted on the main roads, which leaves this beautiful little place a little secret.
