The Queensland museum is great - but the Brisbane Museum is a one of the cities hidden treasure. Housed in the beautiful city hall building in King George Square, the magnificent staircase and dome ceiling will give you a taste of what is in store upstairs. Located on level 3, and with free entry, the Museum is home to dynamic exhibits that are inspiring and unique. Exhibits change from time to time, and are generally locally focused and always beautifully curated. The Museum is also host to various family activities, including school holiday entertainment for the kids. The Brisbane Museum is a great escape away from the heat and intensity of the city. Stop in at the Shingle Inn for a coffee on the ground floor before heading back outside to the bustle of city life.
