Located in the leafy, quiet Sydney suburb of Oatley, Skeeter and Jacks is a divine little wine bar that has only recently opened. They don't usually take reservations so its first in best dressed(for seating) but the wine list is concise and delicious (and not the kind of wine you can find off the shelf at any of the commercial bottle-o's around) and their on-tap beer is always delicious and refreshing.
A small but very delicious tapas style menu is available (can I recommend the dumplings? They are delicious!) and on Sunday afternoons, live entertainment abounds. It's right next to Oatley train station, so transport is always taken care of.
Quaint, original seating abounds outside, in the form of old church pews and stools for seating and large wine barrels as tables. Indoors, you'll find traditional tables and chairs, and the staff are very accommodating helping to move the tables together for larger groups. This place is awesome.
