Northey Street City Farm is an urban permaculture project established in 1992. Since then, it's grown to encompass a market garden, education centre, nursery, and organic farmers' market. It is also a place to go to learn about permaculture principles and farming. The Farm regularly hosts events and workshops on a diverse range of topics relating to self-sufficiency and organic gardening.

Visit at 9:30am on Tuesdays for a Farm tour and introduction to volunteering at Northey Street City Farm. Volunteers can assist and learn about growing organic produce; managing bees or chickens; plant propagation and construction.

The staff and volunteers are very friendly and supportive. It doesn't matter what your background is; there is a place for everybody at North Street – whether it's just a single visit or a long term volunteering role.
