At the southernmost point in South Australia, Port Macdonnell may be windy, but it makes up for the chill with its serenity and wild, picturesque beach. I went for a walk four days in a row and only ever encountered another walker once! How’s that for peaceful? The rocks and seaweed make it an adventure, and just add to the rough charm of the beach. Allow about 40 minutes to do the whole stretch of beach, and definitely make sure you dress for the conditions – I’m talking layer upon layer upon layer… Plus a beanie… And a scarf…

It will all be worth it when you feel the peace and beauty of this gorgeous place. Your dog will love every second of it, too. And don't forget you camera and/or phone to snap a few beautiful unique beach pics.
