Innes National Park is approximately 300km from Adelaide and well worth the drive. There are entry fees to enter the park, $10 per vehicle for the day payable at the Visitors Centre. Royston Head walk is a moderately rated walk that is estimated to take approximately 1.5 hours to complete. The trail is rocky in places and it is best to have good quality sneakers or hiking shoes for comfort. Amazing views await when you get to the head where you will be able to see Port Lincoln in the distance. Beautiful flora and wild fauna can be seen along the way. It is advised to read up on the national park's guidelines on hiking safety which includes emergency contact details. The best times to visit are Autumn & Spring when the weather is not too hot or cold and wet.
