The state of Victoria has plenty of natural attractions to explore and a variety of wild species to encounter. Along the famous Great Ocean Road, a close to 3-hour drive from the city, situated a little town called Kennett River. Between Lorne and Apollo Bay, a little heaven for wild King Parrots, Rosellas and Koalas can be found. Occasionally, Kookaburras show up in the area but not as often as the parrots. The bird are very friendly with people and bird seeds can be purchased from the nearby store where the wild birds and koalas are often hanging around.
The area is hard to be missed since most tourists would stop by in the area to immerse themselves with this exciting activity especially with kids. This is a perfect opportunity to come up close with Australia's beloved Koalas too since the trees where they can be found aren't that high. Don't forget not to touch the Koalas though. You might stress them out.
