There's a lake in Daisy Hill. Who knew? Dennis Lake is a peaceful little spot tucked away in the southern suburbs of Brisbane. It's man-made and a sign provides a full history of the lake.
It's a lovely spot for a picnic, a wander or a geocache (for those who play - if you don't, look it up). Feed the ducks, do some landscape photography or read a book. It's pet friendly too so you and your pup can enjoy the area together (just leash your dog and watch out for the geese!). A sunrise or sunset here is not to be missed. The sky colours are amazing. It's also a great spot to stay after dark and stargaze.
NB: A lot of the area is residential so please be respectful of private property. There are public grassy areas and boardwalks around the lake.
