If you have ever turned on a television you have probably caught at least a moment of Masterchef. A small cafe called Mastic is the brainchild of longtime Masterchef judge, George Calombaris. After a fairly public 'health-kick' Calombaris opened this cafe with the vision of engaging more foodies to consider eating more wholefoods and eating cleaner. With an emphasis on healthy yet tasty food, you won't feel guilty after hanging out in this retro-fitted space - think bunless hamburgers or zucchini 'noodles' in place of spaghetti. Situated on a fairly busy main road it is advised to take the tram instead of trying (and probably failing) to find a carpark. Apart from the great food and friendly service I recommend sitting back to watch the people of Kew go about their day.
