This place is a great place to go if you are hoping to see some Australian animals. The nature centre has a variety of animals including wombats, kangaroos, a platypus, snakes, birds, and other animals. There is a small admission fee (check out the website listed below), but it is worth the few dollars. The nature centre is located at D’Aguilar National Park. This park also has two walking trails, the Araucaria Track and the Corymbia Circuit. This animal centre is one of the few places you can see a platypus. He is usually very active, especially if you catch him around his lunch time. Walkabout Creek also has a café, the Green Tree Frog Café and a room available for functions. The centre is clean and the people are friendly. They will be very happy to share information with you about wildlife and the nearby reservoir.
