Whether you're an avid bike rider, or enjoy a leisurely bike ride, this seaside cycle track located in Wollongong is perfect for you.
This track is used by many locals each weekend, and is right beside several pristine beaches along the South Coast.
It’s advised that you begin at Woonona. If you catch public transport, Woonona is just a couple of stops south of Thirroul train station. Ride to the beach, and you’ll see the track, which you simply follow along at your own pace.
Take in the stunning views of mountains, sand, surf and watch the local surfers as you ride along the track.
This track ends in Wollongong CBD at the lighthouse, where you can take in some of the most stunning views of Wollongong (and eat some of the best fish and chips in the area afterwards!).
Depending on what pace you ride, it can be completed in 45 minutes. The ride is entirely flat, so it’s perfect for family rides! For families, it might be fun to end your ride at Stanwell Park, where there is a large playground and BBQ area (and you can watch the sky divers land in the field beside it!)
