Want to experience football with a bit of history? Perhaps different to the usual stadium/plastic seat feel? Well, hop on over to Brisbane's north to experience it's best stadium which is used for local and international teams training sessions.

Ballymore has a lot of history. Perhaps too much but it all came from the Rugby Union side of it.

Throughout the year, the local teams train on this pitch in ready for their home games and usually you can stroll on in for free and watch them train. If you are lucky enough, and a wallabies fan, you will be able to witness the big stars there as well!

It is also open all year round so take a peek at the fields and have a walk around!

Ballymore is also famous for it's "hill" where on game days, people sit up there and watcg rugby matches on there. The hill gives it a more homely feel and usually gets quite busy with popular games.

The NRC competition which runs just after the Super Rugby Season (Aug/Sept) is usually held here and it truely is an experience. There are bars on both sides of the stadium, and usual "footy food". However, nowadays, food trucks do make their appearence there as well so something a little gourmet is on offer.

Ballymore also has an undercover area, in fact, 2 where you can sit anywhere and enjoy the game. Seats are not allocated when you buy seats up there so really, just first in best dressed!

So head on in, check up on their websites if teams are training on there, or just wait till the NRC competition begins! Tickets are as cheap as $20 sometimes!
