The Gold Coast Hinterland is full of wonderful things to do and attractions to visit. There are so many new things to look at. But it all had to start somewhere and at the Gold Coast Hinterland Heritage Museum in Mudgeeraba you can see how the area began.

The museum started operation in October 2004 and has been growing ever since. The collection started small and has expanded to include hundreds of tools, farming equipment, clothing and school gear to militaria items, buildings, railway and pioneering utensils plus so much more.

The best part about this museum is that there are a number of hands on items that you and the kids can use. Open only on Sundays between 10am and 2pm, you will need to plan your visit.

The museum is run by volunteers and many of them have loads of stories to tell you about the items in the rooms. History can be learnt of what it was like to live over 100 years ago and how many of the objects are used.

A great few hours of learning and fun in a place full of so much history.
