If you are like me and find libraries around the world to be fascinating, you must see the the interior of the State Library of Victoria - it is gorgeous! The Queen's Hall, or great room, in the centre of the library is beautifully crafted. From the bottom looking up the octagonal room, or from the upper levels looking down, are both really great views. I like to sit and read a book here. The architecture is lovely and it is a peaceful spot in a busy city. There is also a gallery you can wander through in the library, so you don;t have to just read, and they put on different exhibits all the time!
