Susan Gilmore Beach is in itself a hidden treasure, with the only access being a fairly steep descent down a somewhat ominous path that may be found at the top of the Bar Beach Carpark.
From the beach, start making your way over the rocks in the direction of Newcastle Beach. For the most part, the walk is expanses of flat rock that separates the cliff face and the ocean.
After about 10 minutes of rock walking, you should come to the locally dubbed "jump rock". It is not too high, making it a great spot for those seeking a fun but not terrifying activity. There is a lot of space around the jump too, so bring some food and have a picnic amongst the rocks.
