Jacob’s creek is definitely one of the wineries to visit when you come to Barossa Valley but for those that perhaps are looking for a little bit more of something else I would suggest going around Australia Day public holiday time. There is a tiny little vineyard at the front of the visitor centre with each row having different type of grapes planted. Around the end of January, all of them will be nice and ripe for you to try and see the difference between different grapes. Why not do this before you go and try the wines.

Personally, lounging on the deck chairs and beanbags is a perfect way to enjoy the Barossa view with a glass of wine or cider. For those a little more adventurous, don’t forget that Jacob’s creek sponsors Australian open so they actually have a tennis court as part of the winery, plenty of request and balls for you to have a bit of a hit. Now that’s what I call all round experience where there is a bit for everyone.
