The Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) is a great thing to do whilst in Brisbane. It has free entry; although the special exhibitions cost to enter. The space is huge, with fantastic light and has 3 floors to explore. Even if you don't enter the special exhibitions, there is much to see. It's not stuffy, and has a great permanent collection for all ages. It's nestled amongst a bunch of other galleries and museums right on the rivers edge of Brisbane. If you're hungry there is a great café downstairs and outside, with views of the river and the city.
