Brush up on your botany knowledge, meditate and relax, or picnic and play. The garden is spectacular in spring and summer when the rhododendrons, hydrangeas and azaleas are in full bloom. The beginning of the cooler months sees the deciduous trees awash with ochre, and in winter, the garden's thousands of daffodils come into bloom. Birdwatchers bring your notebooks – on cold mornings you might spot a Superb Lyrebird. King Parrots and Crimson Rosellas frequent the garden all year round.

It's tricky to get to the garden from Melbourne without a car, but it’s just a short walk from the Olinda township. There's also plenty of parking within 2 minutes walk of the garden.
