The Cowra Japanese gardens were originally planted to commemorate the centenary of the Japanese Breakout in Cowra. Wandering through these gardens is an extremely peaceful experience and there is a lovely cascading stream located also within the grounds. The gardens are Japanese style very neat and tidy with an air of tranquility. There are so many plants of all descriptions and a botanist would love this place ! A cafe on site offers a wonderful selection of teas and snacks and there are abundant birdlife also to be seen in the gardens. I would highly recommend reading up on a little history of the gardens and military history before arriving which is extremely interesting. A fantastic experience & must truly be seen to be appreciated.
