Fred Hollows Reserve is only a recent discovery for me, which is so strange as I have lived in the area for years now! It is a gorgeous little forest in the middle of the inner Sydney suburb of Randwick, tucked quietly away in the residential area. It is not seen easily without knowing about it, although there is a sign (it does not stand out though).
Walking through this gorgeous tranquil piece of nature is such a calming way to end a busy day at work, breathing in the fresh air, listening to the birds and gazing at the greenery all around. It is a very stable man made path for most of the way, with quite a few stairs as well (this is not wheelchair friendly unfortunately).
This reserve also has several places you can sit and have a rest or enjoy a picnic with mates away from the hustle and bustle.
So get out in the fresh air and enjoy the scenery in this little secret forest (secret for now anyway).
