In my opinion guided tours can be a bit of a hassle, having to stick to a someone else's timelines and go where they want you to go doesn't always align to what you want to do.
If you're the same as me, the tinny hire facility offered at the watersports shed is perfect for you.
You don't need a boating license to drive it, you'll only need to attend the safety briefing and then you're right to go.
The tinnies can take up to four people so it's perfect for a regular sized family and while not much, there's some shade cover provided by the awning over the top of the boat.
The area you can take the boat up to is pretty fair - you can go up and visit the wrecks which are great viewing, anchor the boat off and go for a snorkel or bring it in to a more isolated part of the beach further north and have a picnic.
Your options are limited only to your imagination and where you can go. For this the price of hire is reasonable and as a guide-yourself-experience it's top notch.
