This one of my personal favourites. Most locals are aware of the popular scenic spots on Sydney’s Northern Beaches but the lookout on Edgecliffe Boulevard on Collaroy Plateau doesn’t seem to be that popular. It gives you an absolutely fantastic view over the vast beach and Narrabeen Lakes. Bring a coffee and a book, and you can enjoy a couple of fantastic hours either on a blanket or one of the many benches placed along the entire street. If you’re doing public transport from the city you can get on the 180 bus from Wynyard, there are a few bus stops right by the scenic walk so it’s definitely accessible enough. If you forget to bring your own refreshments there’s a lovely little café nearby.
