Most people who make a trip to Coalcliff will know it merely as the place where you can park your car to take a walk across the majestic Seacliff Bridge. But the majority who visit are missing possibly the best part – the Coalcliff Rockpools! On a nice day you can see right up the coast all the way to the Royal National Park, and combined with the imposing views of the escarpment towering overhead it makes for a very picturesque locale. Over summer the surf club also runs on a few Sundays each month with live music, so if you happen to visit on one of those days you can’t go past watching a band with this striking view in the background. Also be sure to take some time to explore the rocks heading south towards the Seacliff Bridge, where you might spot the fisherman perched precariously on the rock ledges.
