The Wodi Wodi Track is a challenging walk that takes you up behind Stanwell Park, a beachside suburb in the far north of the Illawarra region a little over an hour south of Sydney. Depending on which way you want to take the track you can either start on Lawrence Hargrave Drive about 1km south of Stanwell Park, or alternatively right behind the train station. There are some steep climbs to take in, but also nice rambling parts that are flat and easy enough to manage. Around halfway through there’s a lovely stream by which you can stop to take a breather and have some lunch. We spotted an echidna on the trail during our last walk on this track, so be sure to keep an eye out for the local wildlife!
