Newtown has always been buzzing, but due to the lock out laws the suburb has felt fuller of late. King Street is teeming with people and all the classic Newtown pubs are bursting at the seams. Corridor is still a classic, but because it’s a little bit off the beaten track so you feel like your escaping the crowds.
Corridor is a no-frills, friendly bar that keeps things simple. You’ll find long necks, a couple of cocktails, craft beer and wine on the modest menu – all high quality offerings, reasonably priced.
Snagging a table on the rooftop is quite a feat, as space is limited. The view isn’t as spectacular as some of the other rooftop bars in Sydney, but that’s part of the Newtown charm – unassuming, down-to-earth and accepting.
