The swimming hole is great on a hot day as the water is always super cold.
Drive up the mountain towards Maleny and past the quaint touristy township of Mountville. Head to the Kondalilla Falls national park. Park in the car park and take the Kondalilla Falls circuit walk. About 20 minutes in to the walk take the turn off to the rock pools. The rock pool sits above the 80 metres Kondalilla falls, so you cannot see the water fall from here, just the small stream of water flowing into the rock pool.
It’s one of the few places in Queensland you can find cold water swimming in summer time. So be prepared if you are braving the swim in the winter time.
The walk to the Kondalilla falls is only 5 minutes past the rock pools.
