I couldn’t believe my luck when I discovered I was working across from Fawkner Park. This meant tree-lined paths, vast stretches of grass cut to perfection, birds chirping, all at my disposal in my lunchbreak. Positioned next to a busy street, this park is the ideal marriage of nature meets city life. If I wasn’t so bent on relaxing at lunch I could go for walks down the meandering paths and watch people play tennis or cricket, or listen to children’s laughter as children climb and swing in the playground. People can even enjoy a picnic and use the free on-site BBQ facilities whilst watching a game of cricket. The only downfall is when my lunchbreak comes to an end and I have to leave this piece of paradise.
