Every sunday and wednesday, Scarborough is invaded by dancers of several different parts of the world.

Beginners and intermediate dancers alike can spend an evening listening to good music and learning American and African dances.
From Brazil there is Forró, the nation's most popular dance nowadays, in terms of sheer number of dancers (contrary to popular belief, not all brazilians know how to dance samba, but a big part of them know the basics to Forró).

Usually there is an intro class, followed by the opportunity to stay onstage practicing for as long as you'd like; all of that for just a small fee ($15 to 20).
From time to time there are also food stalls and food trucks joining the party.

This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill or to just get in touch with different cultures known worldwide for their music and dancing.
